COLIN & KELLY
Colin Giles and Kelly Burke are a vocal duo, from southern California, who began singing together in the mid 1990’s. Their sound is reminiscent of the golden era of Jamaican music, from the 1960’s and ‘70s’
While meeting in school as teenagers, and discovering they shared similar interests in music and styles, Colin recruited Kelly to be a vocalist in their first group, which dissolved shortly after.
The two quickly became close friends, and then roommates, which gave them the opportunity to shape and refine their sound. They began performing as a stripped-down acoustic act, under the name of Colin & Kelly, and even had a weekly residency, where members of Hepcat, See Spot, and many others great bands would sit in with them regularly. After moving on to different projects, the two have finally reunited, to voice their first recording in twenty five years, for Botheration Records, with their version of the 1968 classic, Fire Fire, by The Wailers.
